How do I cancel my subscription or the service I connected?
Cancelling an app's subscription and stopping data sharing are two separate steps — here's how to do both.
If you want to cancel an app or service that you connected your bank or energy account to, there are actually two separate things you might want to do — and they're handled in different places.
1. Cancel the subscription — with the app itself
Fiskil isn't the app you signed up with. We're the accredited provider that handled the secure data sharing when you connected your account. Your subscription, free trial, or account with the app is an agreement between you and that provider.
So to cancel the subscription or close your account:
- Contact the app or service directly — through their app, website, or support email.
- Ask them to cancel your subscription or trial and confirm it in writing.
Fiskil can't cancel a subscription for you, because we're not part of that agreement.
2. Stop the data sharing — with Fiskil
Separately, you can stop the app from receiving any more of your bank or energy data:
- Sign in to the Consumer Dashboard.
- Find the consent for that app and revoke it. Full steps are in How do I stop sharing my data?
- Prefer email? Send a note to support@fiskil.com and we'll revoke it for you.
Which order should I do it in?
Doing both is completely fine. If you're cancelling anyway, it usually makes sense to cancel the subscription first, then stop the data sharing — that way the app can't fail mid-cancellation because it lost access to your data. But there's no penalty either way, and stopping data sharing is always your right.
Stopping data sharing doesn't stop billing
Revoking a consent stops your data flowing — it doesn't cancel a paid subscription. If you only revoke, you could still be billed by the app, so make sure you cancel with them too.
Fiskil is an accredited, regulated provider under the Australian Government's Consumer Data Right (CDR), and you can stop sharing your data at any time.
