Does Fiskil move my money?

Fiskil only shares data with your permission — it never holds, sends, or approves money.

This page is for people who connected a bank account through an app or website and have a question about money — a payout, refund, or transfer.

The short answer: no. Fiskil never holds your money, never sends it anywhere, and can't approve, release, or speed up a payment.

What Fiskil actually does

When you connect your bank account to an app, Fiskil's job is to share your account information with that app — securely, and only because you gave permission. In Australia this happens under the government's Consumer Data Right (CDR). It's view-only: the app can see the information you agreed to share, and nothing else. Your money never passes through Fiskil.

Waiting on a payout, refund, or transfer?

The app or website you used is the one handling your money. If you're waiting for funds to arrive — donations, a payout, a refund, a transfer — contact that app's support team. They're the only ones who can check where your money is and make it move. Fiskil can't see or touch it.

"My sharing expires tomorrow" — is that a problem?

Usually not. Many apps only need to check that a bank account really belongs to you. For that, they set up a very short data-sharing permission — often around 24 hours — which does its job and then expires on its own.

So if you get an email saying your sharing is about to expire soon after you connected, that's normal. You don't need to reconnect, and an expired permission doesn't stop a payment the app has already set up.

If the app keeps asking you to connect again

If the app still says "add a bank account" after you've connected, the problem is on the app's side — contact their support team and tell them you completed the bank connection. If you saw an error during the connection itself, email support@fiskil.com and we'll take a look.

Staying in control

You can see everything you've agreed to share, and stop sharing at any time — see Manage or stop sharing your data.
