What is Fiskil and why is it connected to my bank?
Why you saw Fiskil's name while connecting your bank or energy account to an app.
If you saw "Fiskil" while linking your bank or energy account to an app, don't worry — it's a normal part of secure data sharing in Australia.
Why you're seeing Fiskil
Fiskil is an accredited, regulated provider under the Australian Government's Consumer Data Right (CDR). When an app you use wants to see information from your bank or energy provider — like your balance or transaction history — Fiskil is the accredited party that makes that connection happen securely.
You'll only see Fiskil because you started connecting an account from an app or service. Fiskil doesn't contact you out of the blue.
What Fiskil actually does
- Securely passes data between your bank or energy provider and the app you connected — only the data you agreed to share.
- Keeps track of your permission (called a "consent"), including what's shared and for how long.
What Fiskil never does
Fiskil never asks for your bank password. When you connect an account, you're taken to your bank's own secure login, and you approve the connection with a one-time code your bank sends you. Fiskil also can't move money — data sharing is view-only.
You stay in control
You can see and manage everything you've agreed to share in Fiskil's Consumer Dashboard. You can stop sharing at any time — see Manage or stop sharing your data. Just keep in mind that stopping data sharing may affect the app or service that uses it.
Want us to do it for you?
If you'd rather not use the dashboard, email support@fiskil.com and we can revoke a consent on your behalf.
