Share ANZ business accounts

How a business appoints a data sharing representative at ANZ and shares its accounts through your product.

Before you start

This guide applies to business customers who hold accounts with ANZ and use ANZ Internet Banking for Business. The appointment is done by someone who administers the business's Internet Banking for Business facility. ANZ Transactive customers follow a separate ANZ process — direct them to ANZ's own data sharing help.

Appoint a nominated representative

ANZ handles the appointment online, inside Internet Banking for Business:

  1. Log in to ANZ Internet Banking for Business.
  2. Open Settings and select Manage Users.
  3. Select the person to appoint and choose Edit on their profile.
  4. Set Data sharing access to Yes.
  5. Review and select Save.

The change takes effect within Internet Banking, so there's usually no waiting period.

Then share the accounts

Once data sharing access is enabled, the appointed person starts the consent flow in your product, selects ANZ, authenticates with their own credentials, and approves sharing for the business's accounts.

If it doesn't work

  • Accounts don't appear in the consent flow — confirm the person authenticating is the one with data sharing access enabled, and that the accounts sit under the same Internet Banking for Business facility.
  • The Manage Users option isn't available — the logged-in user may not be an administrator of the facility; an administrator needs to make the change.
  • The business uses ANZ Transactive — the steps above don't apply; the business should follow ANZ's Transactive data sharing process.

For anything else, the business should contact ANZ business banking support or search "ANZ Consumer Data Right data sharing" for ANZ's current help pages.
